TIMELESS TREND ALERT: RETURN TO INTIMACY IN 2025 WEDDINGS

SEVEN WAYS TO ADD INTENTIONALITY, MEANING, AND CONNECTION TO YOUR WEDDING IN 2025

In recent years, the wedding industry has exploded into a luxury industry with heavy emphasis on glamour and photography. In 2025 we are seeing a return to the things that truly matter: the people, the experience, and the love.

1. WEDDING WEEKS

In 2025, weddings are more than just a one-day event. Couples are realizing that the day goes by much too quickly and that they need just a few more days to soak it all up! These weeks often turn into vacations with welcome parties, Sunday brunches, rehearsal dinners, and even an excursion or two.

2. CASTLES, VILLAS & ESTATES

A selective guest list with all of your best friends— this is the idea. Instead of large venues for hundreds of guests, celebrities are renting villas, castles, and small mansions for their wedding celebrations and spending the whole week with loved ones, all under the same roof.

3. INTIMATE DINNERS

As couples narrow down their lists to their most beloved guests only, they are opting for private dinner parties with long tables and banquet style seating, intimate lighting and lots of candles. This is a space for friendship and connection.

4. THE RETURN OF THE BACKYARD WEDDING

2024 weddings are heavily inspired by the vintage era, so we are seeing a return to the basics. The backyard wedding is back. If you’re lucky, you might even have a pool to jump into at the end of the night!

5. COUPLES ARE GETTING READY IN THEIR CHILDHOOD HOMES

With the same mindset as the backyard weddings, couples are choosing sentimentality over aesthetic and choosing to prepare for their weddings in the homes that hold their fondest childhood memories.

6. FURRY FRIENDS ARE MAKING THE GUEST LIST

Inviting distant family relations that you have never met is out, and bringing your life’s daily companion is in. Couples everywhere are bringing their pets to their weddings and not regretting it a bit.

7. LONG PORTRAIT SESSIONS ARE BEING REPLACED BY HAPPY CANDIDS

As happy couples take back the timeline, they are canceling long portrait sessions and time away from guests and replacing those with candid, happy, gooey moments with those they love the most.
